We use the term "extended warranty" and "warranty"interchangeably with the term "service plan - extended service plan - vehicle service contract - service contract," variations thereof, or "VSC," throughout the web site.

A vehicle service contract; service plan or vsc is often referred to as an extended warranty but it is not a warranty. A service plan or VSC does however provide coverage for repairs, parts and labor, payments, towing and travel benefits for your vehicle. A vsc or service plan is a contract between you and a provider or administrator that states what is a covered repair and what is not. A vsc or service plan is not an insurance policy but a contract to specify what is covered and not covered.
